Town Hall Hotel Wedding // Lauren & Sammy
A Town Hall Hotel wedding is the epitome of London cool. With an amazing Art Deco 1930’s interior and lots of walnut wood panelling, it’s very chic and is a great location for a London wedding. I had two weddings there on consecutive weekends in September, one of which was Lauren and Sammy’s day. Lauren got ready at the hotel, with her make up done by Panda makeup, whilst Sammy and his groomsmen started the day off with drinks at local pub, The Camel. It wasn’t only the bride who looked great; the guys wore suits made by Sammy himself, who’s a designer for a fashion brand. Each groomsman had a single breasted suit whilst the groom’s was doublebreasted. Back at the town hall, the ceremony room was ready and starting to fill with guests. The amazing foliage was done by florists Grace and Thorn, and the green looked great against the dark wood interior. Following the ceremony, the couple were showered with confetti on the town hall’s steps. Sammy and Lauren had the De Montfort Suite for their drinks reception. It’s a great space, full of light, with triple height ceilings and huge arched windows. The Bethnal Hall was the space for dinner, set up with long, simply dressed tables, with lush green centrepiece. Guests could cash in their poker chips, again designed by Sammy, for drinks at the bar. Often at weddings it can take a while for the dance floor to fill up in the evening. Not so at Sammy and Lauren’s wedding – it was full before dessert had come out…. I’d be hard pushed to recall a time when I have had so much fun on a dance floor. It was carnage, in the nicest possible sense of the word; the bride & groom up on shoulders and some unfortunate guy wearing an entire bottle of beer. Great fun. Great day. Great people.
